Alcohol Advertising

okay, first off we're gonna clarify some things from our last post.

when we said people under the legal drinking age shouldn't drink we were talking about in excess amounts. if its drinking wine at church or your parents giving you a taste of their drink, then we believe that is okay. however, if you're drinking to make yourself feel better or make yourself cooler and getting drunk, then that is not a healthy thing to do. we hope this helps you a bit duffy, we understand where you could've gotten confused. =]

we're pretty sure most people have seen ads for alcohol. whether it be on the television, magazines, on the radio or just on the streets; all alcohol ads have something in common. they all make drinking sound fun by showing people having a good time or using sex to make it more appealing. now we know that drinking can be fun, but sometimes teens can see this the wrong way. often times, teens who see these ads think that drinking alcohol is the only way to have fun or drinking alcohol will make you more sexy or attractive. therefore, they go to parties and get drunk just so they can make themselves more popular. we don't find people with slurred speech who are tripping over themselves to be very attractive, the ads never show the ugly side of drinking, do they?
